© 'SOUTHERLY WINDS' Abacos Bahamas Glicee on Canvas by Jan Peterson
The Story:
For 15 years I cruised and traveled through the Bahamas exploring the Out Islands. So many wonderful people I met and sights I saw. The Abacos, Marsh Harbour, Elbow Cay, Green Turtle Cay, Guana Cay, Man O' War Cay, The Exumas, Stocking Island, Nassau, Chub Cay and Southward.
This painting is a view I enjoyed one day riding my bike. I stopped to look at the thunderstorm building from the South on the Sea of Abaco while a sailboat was making its way Northward. Through the palm tree I watched this sailboat keep just ahead of the storm. The palm tree was the most beautiful frame for this scene unfolding.
May it relax you as much as it did me. You can sip on a Bahama Mama and feel like you are right there relaxing on the beach!
