The Story: 
After living full-time in Beaufort NC for 26 years, I have fallen in love with our town, its barrier islands, fishing our offshore and coastal waters, the wild horses, the endless variety of boats which pass through our waterways, our local shrimp boats, our sea life, our bird life and Cape Lookout National Seashore. All of my paintings reflect my love for these special and unique local treasures.
 
In this painting I capture the excitment of weighing in a big blue marlin at the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City NC.
